Health Benefits of CBD (a short introduction)
I am the manager of a CBD store. To be honest, the job kind of fell into my lap thanks to some friends...I have been vaping for several years, and one of my best friends works at a vape shop. I was originally supposed to be working there, but the owners opened up a CBD store as a sister company, and I was offered the position to run one of the locations. I was unsure at first about it, but as I learned more about the product, I fell in love with it.
But I digress. This post is supposed to be about the CBD!
CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is a derivative of the hemp plant. For those of you who don't know, hemp is a form of cannabis related to marijuana, but has certain key differences from marijuana. The difference we're focusing on here is the content of THC and CBD. While marijuana is higher in THC and lower in CBD, hemp is the opposite. As a result, it can be used for the medicinal benefits, without having to worry about the psychoactive effects (it won't get you high).
Now, I could go on forever about the ins and outs of hemp products, but I will save some of the information for later posts. For now, I will keep this short and sweet.
CBD products can help with all kinds of health issues, both mental and physical. From anxiety and depression to aches and pains, and beyond (yes, even cancer patients have found relief from it), there are very few, if any, people who would NOT benefit in some way from using it. Again, I could go on forever, but I will save specifics for future posts.
Want to know more? In future posts, I will delve deeper into what CBD is, how it interacts with our bodies, and what conditions it can help with.
